     Researchers should note that in the Census returns of 1881; 1891; 1901 the surname was written as BULE and in 1911 Elizabeth's surname entry was still written as BULE. It is probable this name was adopted on a permanent basis as daughter Kate married as BULE and her children were Registered with the mother's maiden name also as BULE.¹¹
