I am confident that it is the same signature that appears in the churchwardens' minute books for Checkley Parish in 1732. This Thomas was appointed as a churchwarden in 1730. In 1729 he had been appointed as Overseer of the poor for the Netherside of the Parish - ' Thomas Titley of the Holly Wood Farm '. Thus I believe all the right connections can be made to put Thomas and Anthony into the direct line" - Jane Titley - 2005.

He died in 1768, and left £1000 each to Kings School Westminster and Trinity College Cambridge, and £500 to Cambridge University. He never married.
