     In the U.K.Census of 30 March 1851, Joseph was recorded as residing at 9 Red Lion Square, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire.
     Joseph's listing is -
     Joseph Bull     Servant     Unmarried     24     Boots (sic)     STS. Cheadle (in the household of William Langley, Hotel Keeper & his Family).2

     Joseph Bull emigrated on 13 December 1852 from Liverpool, Lancashire; on board the ship 'Tantivy'. This was a ship of 1140 tons, under the command of a Captain S. Brewster. It carried 320 passengers, Joseph arrived in Melbourne on 13 April 1853, after a voyage of approx. 4 months. Shipping records show his occupation as Sailor, although he was not a member of the crew of that vessel. This was an unassisted passage.3

     Joseph Bull was married to Alice Campbell on Sunday, 20 September 1857 at St. Francis' Church, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Joseph Bull, Bachelor, 30, Born at Alton Castle, Staffordshire, Gardener. Parents - William Bull, Gardener and Mary Cope & Alice Campbell, Spinster, 26, Born in Co.Armagh. Parents - James Campbell, Weaver and Anne Read. According to the Rites of the Catholic Church. Alice Campbell states that she was a member of the Catholic Church.3

     Joseph Bull, son of William Bull and Mary Cope, died on Tuesday, 10 January 1893, in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia,"aged 66 years, Occupation - Farmer, Father's occupation stated to have been 'a Miller'", he was survived by his wife Alice Bull.3

     the Mount Pleasant (Wesleyan) Chapel Baptismal Register Entry - "Charles Bull, the son of Thomas Bull (Joiner) of the Parish of Alton in the County of Staffordshire, and of Mary his Wife, (whose maiden name was Salt), was Born March 3rd 1826, and was Baptised April 13th 1826."1

     Charles Bull, son of Thomas Bull and Mary Salt, was married to Eliza Richards on Monday, 5 May 1856 at St. Martin's Church, Birmingham, Warwickshire.
     St. Martin's Church Marriage Register - "Entry #75 - Charles Bull, of Full Age, a Bachelor, a Labourer of Brearley Street, son of Thomas Bull, a Joiner was Married After Banns to Eliza Richardson, of Full Age, a Spinster of Brearley Street, daughter of George Richards, a Cordwainer.
     Charles Signed the Register and Eliza Richards signed with her X Mark, were Witnessed by Henry Gittins and the Mark X of Sarah Richards.."4,5

     The 1861 U.K.Census  listed him as a son of the Head of Household - Thomas Bull, at Ash Flats, Castle Church, Stafford, Staffordshire, who is recorded as -

     Charles's entry for the 1861 Census was recorded as -
          Charles Bull     Son     Married     35     Railway Labourer     STS. Cotton.6

     Charles Bull, son of Thomas Bull and Mary Salt, died on Friday, 2 March 1866 in Ash Flats, Castle Church, Staffordshire, his Death was Registered at the Stafford Register Office in the Jan-Feb-Mar Quarter of 1866, He was survived by his wife, Eliza.7,8

     He was buried in St. Lawrence's Church, Stafford on Wednesday, 7 March 1866.
     St. Lawrence's Church Parish Register Entry - 'Entry #1236 - Chas. Bull of Ash Flats, aged 40 years, was Buried.9'

     Administration of the Estate of Charles Bull was granted on 10 July 1866
The Will of Charles Bull late of Ash Flats in the Parish of Castle Church in the County of Stafford, Labourer, deceased, who died 2 March 1866 at Ash Flats aforesaid was Proved at Lichfield by the oath of Eliza Bull of Ash Flats aforesaid Widow the Relict one of the Executors. Effects under £100.10
