Battalion (attached 1st) Rifle Brigade youngest son of G.R.Gibbs and his wife Elizabeth nee Wise, who was killed in action in the Great War during the night of July 6/7th 1915 near Ypres Flanders. "Best of comrades Staunchest of friends and bravest of Officers." on Brass Plaque."2

     He was buried in Talana Cemetery, Boesinghe in July 1915.
