     The 1881 U.K.Census listed her as the Wife of the Head of Household - John Cope, at Church Street, Spondon, Derbyshire, who is recorded as -
          John Cope     Head     Married     50     Brickmaker's Labourer     DBY. Spondon.³
     Mary's entry for the 1881 Census was recorded as -
          Mary Cope     Wife     Married     42     Charwoman     IRL. Dublin.³

     Mary Cope died in August 1881, she was survived by her husband John Cope.⁴

     She was buried at St. Werburgh's Church, Spondon, Derbyshire, on Tuesday, 30 August 1881.

     Jonathan Cope, son of Jonathan Cope and Sarah Cope, was born in Spondon, Derbyshire, in 1811.¹
     He was Baptised on Thursday, 14 February 1811 in St. Werburgh's Church, Spondon, Derbyshire .¹

     He was buried in St. Werburgh's Church, Spondon on Saturday, 24 October 1874.¹
