     Sorry I don't have information on Maria or Rueben. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if Maria didn't hook up with my Seatons further back, as I haven't found many Seatons in West Yorkshire.

My greatgrandmother was Susannah Seaton, born in 1852 in Bradford, Yorkshire. Her father was Henry Seaton. Susannah married William Goodrick in Leeds in 1873. I haven't been able to locate any birth record for Susannah so have concluded she wasn't registered. Have been searching parish records with no luck so far. If I find anything further on my Seatons I will surely let you know.

Susannah and William Goodrick had a son William Henry in 1876, born in Leeds, who was my grandfather and who emigrated to Canada in 1911.

     It is said that George was one of those who witnessed the last public hanging to be performed in Derby, on 11 April 1862. This was of Richard Thorley, for the murder of Eliza Morrow.
