     George Holloway and Mary Dale had a child, Sarah Dale Holloway, born c1822, Mary's next three children were by Jeremiah Greatorex, with whom she lived while her Husband was serving in the Coldstream Guards. When George came home, on his Discharge in November 1833, he and Mary had two more children.
It will be noted that on the 1861 Census, George is stated to be 'a Widower'. It is thought that he considered himself to be a Widower so decided to call himself one, or else the enumerator was local and filled in the form on an assumption as no woman had lived with him in living memory.²
