     The 1871 U.K.Census  listed her as a daughter of the Head of Household - George Shaw, at Longford, Derbyshire, who is recorded as -

     Ann's entry for the 1871 Census was recorded as -

     The 1881 U.K.Census  listed her as a daughter of the Head of Household - George Shaw, at Spath, Longford, Derbyshire, who is recorded as -

     Ann's entry for the 1881 Census was recorded as -

     A Bible has been located that has "Anne Bull, Spondon, April 26th. 1884" written inside the front cover. It was taken by the researcher, Peter Foster, that this was a 21st birthday gift. This is most unlikely, Martin Jackson suggests that this was more likely given on the 16th anniversary of her Baptism.


     In the U.K.Census of 5 April 1891, Ann was recorded as residing at Church Hill, Spondon, Derbyshire.
     Ann's listing is -
     Ann Bull     Servant     Unmarried     27     General servant - Domestic     DBY. Longford     (to Benjamin Walker, Physician & Surgeon).6

     In a letter to the Derby Evening telegraph in 1965 Grace Massey nee Cholerton records that her Mother, Ann Bull, met her future husband, German Cholerton, at the Chaddesden Post Office when she was visiting her sister Harriet Cholerton nee Bull.


     Ann Bull, daughter of Jane Fearn, was married to German Cholerton, son of Robert Cholerton and Esther Coxon, on Tuesday, 20 October 1891 at St. Chad's Church, Longford, Derbyshire.
     St. Chad's Church Marriage Register - "Entry #279 - German Cholerton, aged 28, a Bachelor, an Engine Fitter of Chaddesden, son of Robert Cholerton, Labourer was Married after Banns to Anne Bull, aged 27, daughter of George Bull, Labourer.
     Both signed and Witnessed by George Shaw and Emma Winfield."7

     The 1901 U.K.Census listed her as the Wife of the Head of Household - German Cholerton, at 77 Quarn Street, Derby, Derbyshire, who is recorded as -

     Ann Cholerton ran the Chaddesden Post Office on Nottingham Road, Derby.

     Catharine Bull, daughter of Michael Bull and Ann Blurton, was married to James Bull, son of John Bull and Sarah Prestbury, on Thursday, 16 February 1797 at St. Andrew's Church, Cubley, Derbyshire.
     St. Andrew's Church Marriage Register - "Entry #145 - James Bull of this Parish and Catharine Bull of this Parish were Married by Licence this 16th day of February 1797.
     James Signed the Register and Catharine made her X Mark and were Witnessed by John Bull and Thomas Locker."2

     Catharine Bull was left a Widow at the age of 46, on the death of her husband, James on 25 April 1826 in Cubley, Derbyshire.

     Catharine Bull, daughter of Michael Bull and Ann Blurton, died in December 1832, in Cubley, Derbyshire,"age 52."

     She was buried at Cubley, Derbyshire, on Thursday, 27 December 1832.
