St. Werburgh's Church Baptismal Register Entry - ""Joseph son of John Tippor of Woodend Bap. March 22 1727."2,3"

Marriage banns for Joseph Tipper and Elizabeth Statham were published in 1754 in St. Werburgh's Church, Hanbury, Staffordshire. Register entry states - Banns of Marriage were published on 26 May, 9 June and 16 June.4

Joseph Tipper, son of John Tipper and Elizabeth Wall, was married to Elizabeth Statham, daughter of William Statham and Sarah Goodridge, on Wednesday, 26 June 1754 at St. Mary's Church, Tutbury, Staffordshire.
St. Mary's Church Marriage Register - "After Banns. Joseph Tipper of the Parish of Hanbury and Elizabeth Statham of Parish of Tutbury."4

He was buried at St. Mary's Church, Rolleston on Dove, Derbyshire, on Wednesday, 22 June 1763.
Cemetery Register Entry - sadly, Elizabeth Tipper of Hanbury was buried four days before the baptism of their youngest child, Mary, who herself died a few weks later. A Rolleston burial fits Elizabeth's birthplace and her death may have been in childbirth, Joseph was left with three young daughters to bring up.4 Joseph Tipper objected to the publication of marriage banns of James Mosedale and Elizabeth Tipper in July 1789 in St. Werburgh's Church, Hanbury, Staffordshire; "stopped by the girl's father she being a minor" - according to the Vicar's notes - but this Elizabeth is 30 by then??5
