Eliza Miller

ID# 22987, born 1839, died April 1865
Eliza Miller was born in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, in 1839.1

Eliza Miller was married to Reuben Matthew Tipper, son of George Tipper and Elizabeth Elton, in Surrey in 1864.
Their Marriage was recorded in the Bermondsey Registration District in the Apr-May-Jun Quarter of 1864.2

I can only speculate that this Marriage is correct as it is the only one registered between a Reuben and Eliza between 1861 and 1865. To back this up there is an Eliza Miller listed on the 1861 Census at Hatton, which is only a short distance from where Reuben was in 1861. It is therefore possible that they knew each other.3

Eliza Tipper died in April 1865 in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, her Death was Registered at the Stoke on Trent Register Office in the Apr-May-Jun Quarter of 1865, She was survived by her husband, Reuben.4

Ursula Gowburne

ID# 22997, born around 1655, died August 1729
Ursula Gowburne was born around 1655.

Ursula Gowburne was married to Richard Tipper on Wednesday, 6 November 1680 at the Church of St. John the Baptist, Keele, Staffordshire, (She was actually Ursula Golbourne, the widow of Ralph Golbourne).1,2

Ursula Tipper(x) was one of the witnesses to the Will of a Henry Viggars of Halmerend, dated 3 July 1700; Probate 14 November 1700.3

          Research Notes :- 18 April 2018
This is an interesting link between the Tippers and Viggars families 100 years before the Marriage of Martha Tipper to Joseph Viggars; it adds a little weight to the possibility that Martha's grandfather James Tipper comes from the family of Richard and Ursula Tipper.4

Ursula Tipper was left a Widow on the death of her husband, Richard in 1714 in Staffordshire.

Ursula Gowburne died in August 1729, in Audley, Staffordshire.

She was buried at the Church of St. James the Great, Audley, Staffordshire, on Friday, 26 August 1729.
