     William Yeomans was left a Widower on the Death of his wife, Mary, whose Death was Registered in the Ashbourne Registration District, in the Apr-May-Jun Quarter of 1909.⁹

     William is recorded as living alone on the U.K.Census of 2 April 1911 at Ednaston, Brailsford, Derbyshire. This Census included William, as the only resident in the Household, as follows:
          William Yeomans     Head     71     Widower     Boot Maker     DBY. Ednaston.¹⁰

     William Yeomans, son of Samuel Yeomans and Sarah Warner, died in 1913 in Derbyshire, his Death was Registered at the Ashbourne Register Office in the Jan-Feb-Mar Quarter of 1913.¹¹

     Mary Shaw, daughter of Thomas Shaw and Mary Pountain, was born in Rodsley, Derbyshire, in 1833.
     She was Baptised on Sunday, 17 March 1833 in St. Chad's Church, Longford, Derbyshire .
     St. Chad's Church Baptismal Register Entry - "Mary Shaw, daughter of Thomas and Mary Shaw, was Baptised."¹

     In the U.K.Census of 6 June 1841, Mary was recorded as residing at Brailsford, Derbyshire.

     In the U.K.Census of 30 March 1851, Mary was recorded as residing at 25 St. Mary's Gate, Derby, Derbyshire.
     Mary's listing is -
     Mary Shaw     Servant     Unmarried     18     House servant     DBY. Rodsley (in the household of John Swanwick, a Retired Surveyor).³

     Mary Shaw has not been located in the UK Census of 6 April 1861.⁴

     The U.K.Census of 2 April 1871 listed her as a Sister of the Head of Household - George Hulland, at Hankinson Street, Pendleton, Salford, Lancashire, who is recorded as -

     Mary's entry for the 1871 Census was recorded as -

     It appears that Mary Shaw and William Yeomans lived together, after April 1871. No record of a Marriage between William Yeomans and Mary Shaw has yet been located, but Mary used the surname Yeomans until her death.⁴

     The 1881 U.K.Census listed her as the Wife of the Head of Household - William Yeomans, at 88 Peel Street, Pendleton, Salford, Lancashire, who is recorded as -

     Mary Shaw, daughter of Thomas Shaw and Mary Pountain, died in 1909 in Derbyshire, her Death was Registered at the Ashbourne Register Office in the Apr-May-Jun Quarter of 1909, She was survived by her husband, William.⁹

     Thomas Shaw, son of Mary Shaw, was born in Bilbao, Spain, in 1863, Volume 3 Page 1236.¹
